After many discussions and many hours of research, I decided to buy a Border Collie pup to bring on as a sheepdog as this is a area that has always fascinated me since I was farming in my younger days.
We went to Malin Head and bought a beautiful blue border collie with “fish eye” (this description depicts the pigment in the pups eyes) and we called him Jack! He is 13 weeks old and an extremely smart pup.
We brought him home and he was introduced to Kaiser and Lily who took to him perfectly! He is now settled into his kennel and run and has been out playing with the other dogs too! He loves the attention but unlike the other dogs, he is a working dog and is not allowed in the house but is going to start light puppy training in my puppy training classes in September.
We will then be going to the UK when he is 5/6months old to start the basic introduction at the Working Sheepdog School.
