We travelled to Laois this morning in anticipation of the agility course. I have to sat, I was very excited! Due to a traffic accident, we ended up being 2 hours late – not a good start! 
There was 8 other owners there with some lovely dogs. They had just begun the small long jumps with accompanying hand signals. After a shaky start, we got into a rhythm and started to enjoy it. The course covered the long jumps, pole jumps, the seesaw and the tyre jump and the tunnel. Kaiser wasnt very happy about the tunnel.. you could almost see his face asking me, “why should I go through that when I can run around it Mum?” After several attempts, he went through, although he cheated and chased a ball through. The seesaw wasn’t too bad, he walked over and waited in the middle very well.
The tyre was another test for him. After a few tries, he managed that too. The long jump and the small jumps weren’t too difficult for him and he flew over them. There was a fun competition at the end which was a course comprising of all the obstacles we had learnt and out of the 4 large dogs there, Kaiser managed second. We came home exhausted but exhilarated! I can’t wait to put it into practice now!
